Ok… why not? What happens when you attempt to load Gmail? What URL are you loading? What error message are you presented with, if any? Which nightly build are you using? Does it still work with the system version of Safari?

(In reply to comment #1) > Ok… why not? What happens when you attempt to load Gmail? What URL are you > loading? http://mail.google.com/ My Google Prefs are set to: "Immer https verwenden" - "ever use https" So google will map this URL to a https-URL > What error message are you presented with, if any? None! I see only a white window. > Which nightly build are you using? 4.0.3 (6531.9, r48139) > Does it still work with the system version of Safari? Yes, it does! Greetings Andreas Naurath

I'm able to log in to Gmail with the r48139 nightly build with the same SSL setting. Do you have any Safari extensions installed?

Which extensions did you have installed? Which one was responsible for causing the problem?

Closing bug since the problem was not with WebKit. I would appreciate if you could mention which Safari extensions you had installed so that we can quickly recognize this problem in the future.
