Summary Odd selection highlights with writing-mode: sideways-lr text

Created attachment 474000 [details] Screeshot of double-highlighted selection with writing-mode: sideways-lr When selecting text styled with writing-mode: sideways-lr, the selection region drawn ends up being both the full block and also some incomplete piece of the text included in the selection overlaid over each other. For an example, try selecting the left hand block that starts “Charles Goodfellow” in this Poe short story: https://standardebooks.org/ebooks/edgar-allan-poe/short-fiction/text/thou-art-the-man#:~:text=following%20letter . I’ve attached an image demonstrating what I’m seeing in Safari Tech Preview. I’m also seeing some weird selection animation as I drag the selection up and down over the same block. The selection background appears to select inversely to where the cursor is. I’m filing this in the same bug as it feels related, but happy to file a seperate bug for this behaviour if that would be desired.

The inverted selection behaviour was resolved by (presumably in https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=286725) but the visual double-selection remains.
