Webkit r46809 puts up a message:-

Mac OS X 10.5 is not supported.

Nightly builds of Webkit are not supported on Mac OS X 10.5 at this time.

Screendump is attached.

PS: Reverting back to build r46770 works OK.

r46809 works fine on my Mac OS X 10.5.8 machine. Do you still have the version of WebKit.app that causes this problem? Does it still reproduce? If so, please keep that version of the build around so that I can take a look at it. Does it reproduce if you re-download that build?

Unfortunately, I deleted the updated build when it wouldn't load and reverted back to build 46770.

Have now again run the "Check for Webkit Updates ..." and the r46809 patch has been applied and all works OK.

May have been a problem with the updater (I was also downloading the 10.5.8 & Garage Band patches at the same time)?

It seems like there must be a race condition. I've heard one or two reports of this before, but no-one has been able to reproduce which makes this tricky to investigate :-(

invalid due to bug 217729 removing all supporting code for WebKit.app
