Bug 277617 – alt text is missing for a page with images with decoding="async" on a 1x screen

tested on STP Release 199 (Safari 18.0, WebKit 20619.1.22.5)

Steps to reproduce:
1. On a macbook with a 1x screen plug, and the browser window on the external 1x screen
2. Make sure the HTTP Cache for webkit.org is fully empty
3. Go to https://webkit.org/blog/3632/introducing-backdrop-filters/
4. Wait for the page to load.
5. Scroll down to reach the Examples section.

Results:
There is a set of 3 images which are displayed with a missing icon
The server sends me a 503 for some of the links.

Issue:
While the image is not being displayed, the alt text is also not being displayed for the image.

This is working as expected on Firefox and Chrome.
