try use element.matchContainer Api, it does not yet exist. As statet here: https://www.w3.org/TR/css-contain-3/#the-csscontainerrule-interface (https://crbug.com/chromium/6) and here https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/6205 there should also be a matchContainer Api on the element, so a matching could also be checked via Javascript
