all text on http://www.atebits.com/scribbles/ and in fact every page at that domain is not using subpixel aa like other websites and the rest of my system. instead it uses a weird looking "normal" aa. when you select the text and drag it over the dark grey a bit you see that it has some white shadow, maybe thats why? Safari Version 4.0.1 (5530.18, r45754)

Website seems to load fine now (nearest copy) - https://web.archive.org/web/20090918104530/http://www.atebits.com/scribbles/ and it might be earlier WebKit versions falling back on Software rasterization and text has been improved a lot and now we have 'retina' displays with higher ppi as well. So it would be difficult to reproduce this issue without reproducible test case. Since it was never confirmed, I am in favor of marking this as 'RESOLVED WONTFIX' and aiming for newer bug with reproducible test case. If my understanding is wrong and this is still reproducible, please reopen.
