reddit.com has a design update recently that includes a blurred background behind an image if the image does not fill the frame. Whenever this scrolls into view, scrolling becomes stuttery and the computer's fans spin up. This happens in both Cairo and Skia. Other browsers do not have this problem. Other blurring effects do not have this problem.

Fixed with Skia now that blurs are done on the GPU.
