In https://github.com/whatwg/html/pull/10175 HTML has been updated to directly use the CSS definition of parsing color values. https://wpt.fyi/results/html/canvas/element/fill-and-stroke-styles/2d.fillStyle.colormix.currentcolor.html tests this.
