I have Google set as my default home page. And have Safari set to open my home page as new tabs are created. On opening a 2nd tab, the input focus defaults to the address bar. On opening a 3rd (and subsequent tabs) the input focus defaults to the Google search box (on their home page) The focus should be consistent and be applied to the first input field on a web page (unless the new page is a blank in which case the focus should goto the address bar).
