change severity to major. reason, affects my daily life and probably daily life of many other WK users.

Apologies to developers and other people involved in the situation, by "does not function" I am meaning to say that the "widget" defaults to Palo Alto which is NO WHERE near my location. The widget no longer successfully locates me and it did in previous WK builds and it WORKS in Version 4 Public Beta (5528.16) of Safari.

Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_5_7; en-us) AppleWebKit/531.2+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.1 Safari/530.18 (WEBKIT - BROKEN) (webkit)

Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_5_7; en-us) AppleWebKit/530.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.1 Safari/530.18 (WORKS) (safari 4.0.1)

So it works in the release version but not the nightlies. IT was working in nightlies a few weeks ago.

I can confirm this. Specifically, Latitude never updates its default and location and isn't able to load the users Friends list. This is a release build of r45330 running off Safari 4.0.1, on PPC/Leopard.

Doh, forgot to add that it works fine in Safari 4.0.1 shipping. Friends list appears and the map updates to my last location.
