Reported 2023-11-16 21:12:26 PST
Created attachment 468637 [details] Recordings of the expected behavior and the crash I encountered an issue on iOS browsers (iOS 17.1.1 and iOS 16.7.2) while scrolling through a website with dynamic content loading (images added as the parent element nears the viewport, and videos added as the element enters the viewport). This problem disrupts the rendering of elements entering or leaving the viewport, leading to paused video playback and an unresponsive developer console. Basic interactions like clicking links and refreshing the page have no effect until the browser process is manually restarted, however, it's still possible to scroll on the page. While attempting to pinpoint the issue's trigger, it appears to occur randomly but more frequently with a higher number of elements in the DOM. I successfully reproduced this in Safari, Chrome, and Firefox on iOS, but couldn't replicate it on any WebKit browsers on MacOS, Linux, or Windows Browser: Safari 17/16, Chrome Devices: iPhone 13 Pro Max [iOS version 17.1.1, AppleWebKit/605.1.15] iPhone 10 [iOS version 16.7.2, AppleWebKit/605.1.15] How to reproduce the issue: Navigate to the search page on the website (https://app.aniclips.alexk8s.com/search?q=%2Bpaper). Scroll through the search results page until you encounter the WebKit lockup issue described.
