RTL select boxes is aligned ltr. This bug exists in Safari and Chrome. The bug was not there in Chrome 1.x but has come to the surface in 2.x. So it might be the use of a newer version of webkit. However, I have an old version (older than Chrome 1.x) of Safari and that problem has been there. The ball is in your hand :) Here is an example select box : http://www.souklubnan.com/search?l=ar The text inside the textbox is aligned to the left, it should be to the right.

Testing it with 530.17 (Apple Safari 4 release) and the latest nightly this bug seems to have been fixed in those versions, so it seems that the problem is in the version Google uses, but is not currently in WebKit.
