Summary Enabling certain features in web inspector causes crash
Eric
Reported 2009-05-09 00:23:39 PDT
Enabling debugging or profiling in the web inspector causes Webkit to crash on my system. This happens regardless of the URL. Other features in the web inspector seem to work as expected, but Webkit crashes within a few seconds of enabling profiling or debugging. I've tried reseting preferences. I have a first run unibody MacBook Pro with 4GB of RAM, (I get the extensions warning) I also have the Safari 4 beta installed. Console doesn't yield much: 5/9/09 12:04:05 AM Safari[39964] WebKit r43392 initialized. 5/9/09 12:09:24 AM com.apple.launchd[96] ([0x0-0x647647].org.webkit.nightly.WebKit[39964]) Exited abnormally: Segmentation fault 5/9/09 12:09:28 AM Safari[39984] WebKit failed to shut down cleanly. Checking for Safari extensions. 5/9/09 12:09:28 AM Safari[39984] WebKit r43392 initialized.

Also manage fonts with Linotype FontExplorer. Perhaps I have a necessary typeface turned off.

Assume this is a dup of bug 25717, which has some crash reports available.
