Description daniel lager 2009-05-01 23:36:26 PDT
The navigation bar at the top of www.virginmobileusa.com is unreadable in latest nightly build of webkit. When you mouseover the nav words, the words that pop up below it bunch together and are unreadable.

I see this too, but it's not a regression from 3.2.1 (I didn't check earlier builds). Looks fine in Firefox 3.03

reduction

Compare between Firefox and Webkit. I think the difference is the reason for the misrendering of the bug url. This is the minimum amount of html I could reduce it to and still see a difference between the two browsers.

Also, Opera renders the bug url correctly, though it renders the test case differently than either Firefox or Webkit/Safari

alternative reduction

Slightly larger reduction, though truer to the bug url. In Safari the text that appears on mouse over is underneath, while in Firefox and Opera, it is to the right hand side.

Both reductions work same across Safari 17.3, Chrome Canary 123 and Firefox Nightly 124.

There is slightly margin difference between list items in 'reduction' test case but it is known because if we update our UA stylesheet from 1_qem (quirk em) to 1 em as per web-spec, we align with Firefox Nightly 124.

So marking this as 'RESOLVED WONTFIX' (never got confirmed).
