Description Greg Moberg 2009-03-30 09:52:56 PDT
I greatly appreciate the new software update procedure, however, a bug seems to have developed in it.

After the files are downloaded, the installer runs, but becomes unresponsive part way through the process; near the end, I think. If I open the force quit panel, I can watch the entry for WebKit change to non-responding status. If I then force quit, the WebKit window closes. and a short time later, WebKit re-launches. I have not discovered where the WebKit version number is stored, so I don't know if the update process completed or not.

This behavior occurs on my Mac 1 at work, where I am behind our corporate firewall. At home, this occurs on 2 Macs (G4 dual and G4 iBook), where I am behind a router only. This behavior started about 2 weeks ago. Previously, it worked without a hitch.

When the application is not responding please open Activity Monitor, select the application in the list of processes, and choose View -> Sample Process. Copy the output in to a text file and attach it to this bug report.
