Bug 248946 – REGRESSION (iOS 16): Flickering lines occuring on canvas within ionic app

Within our ionic capacitor ios application we are using a canvas board to display a wheel which spins. To generate the wheel we use the winwheel.js library. When the wheel has between 2 and 5 segments which are different colours horizontal lines are flicking on the screen during the animation.

This has only started to occur since IOS 16 released and works with no issues on IOS 15.

Could you please provide steps to reproduce? We will not be able to resolve this based on a screenshot.

If you spin the wheel on this page by clicking the spin the wheel button you can see flickering horizontal lines as it spins. WWe have found within our own app that this only occurs when there are fewer than 6 segments on the wheel.

Above website tested to reproduce issue on iPhone 11 Pro Max, Safari and Chrome, iOS 16.1.2
