Perhaps, this need to be broken down into multiple bugs or this can be a tracking bug for SVG text and BiDi (if there isn't one yet). The page at the URL has multiple examples of SVG with BiDi text. I've just tried the first 5 and none of them is rendered as expected.

Test cases attached to this bug would be most helpful. I suspect that we just don't support the "direction" attribute on any SVG element.
