Summary Can’t save pages as webarchive
Miguel Barrosa
Reported 2022-02-22 12:20:06 PST
Created attachment 452892 [details] Screenshot of the window that briefly appears after CMD+S I've recently lost the ability to save web pages in Safari 15 as webarchive. When I try to do so, I get the dialog box where I would normally choose a destination folder for saving the webarchive file. However, no navigation is possible on the dialog, the whole window disabled and nothing is clickable, making the “boing” sound wherever I click. The only possible option is pressing ESC to go back (the "Cancel" button doesn't work either). The problem is reported by me and others here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/253529970 And there are a few more posts regarding the issue on the Web. One thing I notice is immediately after pressing CMD+S to save the page, a window pops up on the bottom left of my screen for a very brief split second before disappearing, after which the normal Safari Save dialog (the one that doesn’t work) comes up. One user in the aforementioned thread managed to get a screenshot of this “phantom” windows that pops up and disappears. I’ve attached it to this report. On my MacBook Air M1 with Safari 14 everything works fine. Thanks, Miguel Barrosa

Thank you for the report! This is almost certainly an issue outside of WebKit, and likely not even in Safari. Could you please report it to Apple via https://feedbackassistant.apple.com to be properly routed to the right team? Resolving as INVALID for lack of a better resolution.
