Why is Safari the new IE?

Seems like Apple is blind for those facts:


1. You turned Safari into crap when you removed the old extension system. Now extensions need to be installed as app(???) via app store. Those extension apps workaround your nonsense restrictions.

2. Users cannot use ublock origin anymore. The web without ublock origin is not usable anymore, it's full of extremely annoyiing, always repeating ads. ublock origin simply is the best, and most expected adblocker. If you can't use ublock origin with safari, a lot of people simply won't use Safari.

3. You follow mobile guidelines in the desktop Safari. e.g. HTML5 videos do not autoplay anymore, EVEN if connected to a wired internet lane. This makes no sense at all and actually destroys a bunch of websites.


How to make Safari attrative again?

1. Support firefox extensions. Do NOT set app store / app format as requirement

2. Follow common standards again. Do not follow nonsense mobile standards, only because it's more convenient for your devs.


Are you _really_ in making Safari more attractive again?

I really doubt it. You did it right back in the days, when you open sourced webkit. Even Google based their engine on yours. 
Safari easily could be the number one browser, if you would leave your echo chamber, since this is about the internet and not your os.

Also provide a windows version again. And not a halfbaked one with non-system gui elements.

My two cents at least, since I read an article that you are looking for feedback.

and PLEASE STOP LOCKING OUT THE COMPUTER OWNER FROM HIS/HER OWN COMPUTER / OS!!

THIS DOES NOT INCREASE SECURITY, IT EXTREMELY REDUCES THE SECURITY.

PROVIDE ROOT ACCESS FOR IOS DEVICES FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT THAT.

STOP RESTRICTING MACOS SAFARI USERS.
