Description Bogdan Brinza 2021-03-23 14:57:02 PDT
1. Open any movie page on kinopoisk.ru website on iOS Safari, for example https://www.kinopoisk.ru/film/1387021/
2. Start pinch zooming and continue until...

ACTUAL: ...the phone goes dark and there is a spinning circle, then you get a lock screen - I'm assuming this is a crash

EXPECTED: You can pinch zoom normally

It's 100% repro for me and happens on every kinopoisk.ru movie page.

Happy to provide additional details. I'm on latest public beta of iOS 14.5 if that helps, and didn't enable any Safari experimental features.

Thank you for the report! Do you know if this is a new issue in iOS 14.5 beta, or if it occurs with shipping iOS too?

And yes, I can reproduce on 14.5.

I could repro this on shipping iOS on another iPhone, it took more effort and wasn't as straightforward to repro (I had to zoom in - zoom out few times), but I could achieve that crash on the first attempt eventually.

Did the page design change? I can no longer reproduce this.
Comment 5 Simon Fraser (smfr) 2021-06-10 21:34:06 PDT
Never mind, I can. It's the filter: blur(70px).

The fix for this issue was needed outside the WebKit project, therefore this is being resolved as 'Moved'.

This should now be fixed in shipping software.

Awesome, thank you! I can confirm it's fixed on iOS 15.3 device.
