Re-opened;
http://www.diigo.com/annotated/6b9d577038b6e5837f51e7241f4f8cfa
works fine in Firefox but fails in Safari 3.1.2 (5525.20.1) on Mac OS X 10.5.5. The corresponding bug report to Google Groups is

Clarification: the issue affects multiple web domains, and only when using WebKit based browsers. = Additional examples =

Please, do not be misled by reports such as "…server is temporarily unavailable…";

is exemplary of Diigo service working as expected. All examples that are problematic to WebKit + Diigo are fine in Firefox + Diigo. = Cross-reference =

I'll trawl
https://bugs.webkit.org/buglist.cgi?query_format=specific&order=relevance+desc&bug_status=__open__&product=&content=redirect
for any common symptoms/factors.

summarises the results of my trawl. Nothing conclusive (I don't have developer expertise.)

This report is very confusing. I've tried opening some of the URLs you have provided above, but the behavior is the same as in Firefox - an error page is endlessly reloaded. For the URL from
comment 6
, both Safari and Firefox opened the page successfully without any redirects. Could you please provide step by step instructions to reproduce this bug? What actions should one perform to reproduce it, and what expected/actual behavior is?

let's note that the issue is gaining attention from Diigo.
> in Firefox - an error page is endlessly reloaded
in Firefox I *never* had an error page — at least, not for the examples given in this WebKit ticket — so maybe Alexey's observations of errors in Firefox are indicative of Diigo work in progress. I'll review in a few days' time. Thanks for your attention.
