What are the complete steps to reproduce? I assume that one needs to log in, but unclear if this depends on content. It's not quite clear why this is a WebKit bug. Does this work in other Safari versions?
<rdar://problem/64382046>
it works in private mode but it does not work in non private mode it works on any other browser as well eg: chromimum but it does not work in normal mode safari when opening this website

Devesh (Microsoft) Tuesday, June 16, 2020 12:52 AM GMT Hi Paul, I would like to tell you that apple told its an issue with whiteboard, here is the summary of today's call: 1. When we try to open whiteboard.microsoft.com it gives you report bug in safari 2. When we try to open whiteboard.microsoft.com in other browsers or even in private browsing of safari it opens normally. This is happening because in safari in normal browser when you enter user id and password of your tenant its redirecting to another tenant and you are unable to login to whiteboard of any tenant. If it works in private browsing, I would try clearing Website data in Safari preferences.
i cleared data still get error cleared keychain still got error
Hi! On which website do you log in? Could you try in Safari Technology Preview in which Private Mode has the same third-party cookie blocking as regular browsing mode?
still get error
In Safari's Privacy Preferences, can you try to disable "Prevent Cross-site Tracking", restart Safari and see if it helps?
that still gives error
I am unable to log in with either Safari or Chrome: """ Sorry, but we’re having trouble signing you in. AADSTS50020: User account 'MY_EMAIL' from identity provider 'live.com' does not exist in tenant 'Microsoft Services' and cannot access the application '95de633a-083e-42f5-b444-a4295d8e9314'(Microsoft Whiteboard Services) in that tenant. The account needs to be added as an external user in the tenant first. Sign out and sign in again with a different Azure Active Directory user account. """ I am guessing this requires a special account or permissions.
i am logging in with a diffrent account if anyone has a work email using office 365 can you login and see if it works i get the error still
(In reply to paulflaherty5 from comment #23) > i am logging in with a diffrent account if anyone has a work email using > office 365 can you login and see if it works i get the error still I managed to get a test account from our QA team that works with Office 365. With that account I am able to log into whiteboard.microsoft.com in both Safari and Chrome. I have tried logging in and out twice without problems. I am using a beta build of Safari which should be almost identical to Safari Technology Preview: https://developer.apple.com/safari/download/ It seems the site works in general in Safari (Please try Safari Technology Preview if you have not yet). I do not know why you are experiencing this.
on tech preview get the error still for some reason

This is from apple can you call me back at 7817891497 now to discuss this The issue with whiteboard is not an apple issue. Apple does not maintain microsoft white board. The error popping up is not a safari error but a website error, that must be fixed on the side of the web developer. after turning off report tracking to websites the issue was fixed regarding safari
Created attachment 402193 [details] resolution the resolution was to turn off prevent cross site tracking
(In reply to paulflaherty5 from comment #34) > Created attachment 402193 [details] > resolution > > the resolution was to turn off prevent cross site tracking This is what we suggested earlier in: https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=213186#c20 And you said in https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=213186#c21 that it had not helped. I will let John review this but Safari does have stricter cookie policy than other browsers when "Prevent cross-site tracking" is on (which is the default).
(In reply to paulflaherty5 from comment #34) > Created attachment 402193 [details] > resolution > > the resolution was to turn off prevent cross site tracking To be clear, we do not recommend turning off Prevent cross-site tracking. Doing that turns off all of Safari's privacy protections and allows all cross-site tracking of your browsing. Doubly so, we do not recommend service providers to tell their users to turn off privacy protections in their browser, just like we don't recommend they tell users to turn off security protections.
the issue is resolved now
