RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 163433 208142
Setting <video> playbackRate causes video playback disruption
https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=208142
Summary Setting <video> playbackRate causes video playback disruption
Jerry Jongerius
Reported 2020-02-24 09:17:55 PST
1. Visit https://www.w3.org/2010/05/video/mediaevents.html 2. Press "Bunny Movie" button 3. Press "Play()" button 4. Every time "PlaybackRate+=0.1" button is pressed, video playback is disrupted for a split second. When an external slider is configured to set video playback rate, all that results during slider movement is that the video is mostly paused (whereas on Windows/Chrome, the video is still playing 100% of the time, just that speed is transparently changing -- which is the desired outcome).
