Reported 2019-12-10 12:13:31 PST
If I open in Epiphany for example YouTube and play a video, I can hear my fan spinning really loud while playing the video. If I play the same video in Chromium or Firefox, I can not hear the fan. Hardware: Intel i7-7500U with HD Graphics 620 OS: ArchLinux

(In reply to jena from comment #2) > - 3.36.0-24-g11cc94492 (WebKitGTK 2.28.0) [flatpak of Epiphany Nightly] The Epiphany Nightly flatpak doesn't have GStreamer-vaapi. Hence expect a busy fan indeed. :)

Closing as there's no actionable point from WebKitGTK POV here. We rely on the GStreamer decoders available on the host system, so this is a bug for the Flatpak packagers.

Sorry, but the Epiphany 3.28 is not flatpak, it's from Ubuntu repos.
