Input methods, such as for Japanese and Chinese, are rendered unusable after focus is given to a password field.

i.e.
1. focus in password field
2. tab (or click) to a different field
3. at this point, it becomes impossible to switch to an IME (they become disabled/greyed out)

This has been confirmed in both 3.0.4 and in 3.1.2 (Leopard)
