NEW 20363
Odd selection behavior when right clicking a link

Summary Odd selection behavior when right clicking a link
Gavin Sherlock
Reported 2008-08-12 15:29:48 PDT
Steps to reproduce: 1. Go to http://www.nature.com/news/index.html 2. Under the "More Stories" section, right click on some of the links lower down the list Expected results: A contextual menu should pop up Actual Results: The menu pops up, but a large part of the page also gets selected. In release Safari (3.1.2) more of the page gets selected than in the latest nightly (r35666), but it is still an odd effect. Note, this page changes on a daily basis, so I'm not sure whether this bug will always reproduce when going to that page. Tested on 10.5.4 on a MacPro

Created attachment 22775 [details] partial reduction As close as I could get to a reduction. Top link shows the behavior, bottom one doesn't. <span class="hidden"> seems to cause the problem
