It's bothered me for quite a while that you can't drag and drop text onto the Google search bar. Sure, you can right-click and select ``Search in Google,'' but that's decidedly un-Mac-like. Best I can tell, it's the one-and-only place in Mac OS X that doesn't support drag and drop.

The search field is part of the Safari application rather than the WebKit engine. See <http://webkit.org/blog/101/back-to-basics/> for further information about this distinction. Bugs in the Safari application should be reported at http://bugreport.apple.com/. Per our policy for handling bugs outside of WebKit, this bug report will be closed as INVALID.
