Steps to reproduce: 1. Go to bug URL 2. Wait 3. Boom Reproducible with latest nightly (r35075) and Version 3.1.2 (5525.20.1). Crash log to be attached. Note, I'm not sure you'll be able to access the url outside of stanford. The file itself is a text file of 479 MB (uncompressed), and even after gzipping, is still 129Mb. I can make it available if needs be.

I tried this again, with an even larger file (350Mb), and it no longer crashed. It does use up a ton of memory (3Gb, plus 3Gb VM), which seems excessive, and the browser frequently locks up during loading, so I have reduced the bug priority and changed the title.

This is a very old issue - dates back at least 4-5 years. The text runs are numerous and expensive. Antti did a lot of work to improve this since then.
