Downloading a bzip2-encoded dmg -served as application/octet-stream using Safari/Webkit results in a .bz2 file that cannot be opened correctly. Removing -in the Finder- the .bz2 extension (leaving one with a .dmg extension) allows the user to proceed. STR 1. Go to mentioned site 2. download 3. go over to the Finder attempt to open the downloaded .dmg 4. Weep See also: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=408233

This is not a WebKit issue, so I'm closing it as INVALID per our process. This will continue to be tracked internally by Apple as <rdar://6032836>, thank you for reporting it!
