It seems very unnecessary to create an entire <canvas> (via `-webkit-canvas` CSS) just to draw a shadow around an arrow :(

-webkit-canvas was replaced with a canvas element here: https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=253414. Still currently using a canvas though to create the shadow.
