Probable cause:

confirmed with command:
run-webkit-tests --root testbuild-235948 compositing/backing/backing-store-attachment-fill-forwards-animation.html --iterations 100 -f

failures do not occur on 235947.

This is basically a duplicate of https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=187845, the regression occurred because Dean turned the flag on by default in WK2. I think we should just track this as the bug Simon raised originally.
