I am able to upload files around 22MB to youtube, however, when I try to send files larger (around 60mb), the transferring stops (when I look in system monitor); this also occurs if I try to upload and surf the net at the same time. This issue does not occur on the latest Firefox 3.0 nightly build, which is what Iv'e had to resort to, not only to upload videos but to also make posts on blogger.com because Safari support for Blogger richtext box is pathetic.
I exported a movie from iMovie (53MB) and attempted to upload it to YouTube. I had no reportable issues.
I've personally uploaded rather large files to YouTube, I'm not sure I've topped 22mb. However, Hayden's datapoint of 55mb seems to suggest that this is not a universal issue. Matthew, are you still having trouble?
From Matthew: Hi, No, the problem seems to be fixed - YouTube has changed their uploading widget which shows the transmission with a percentage and numbers. The issue was that if you tried to load a website in the background, what would happen is that it kills the upload. Also, a bug I've notice is that websites with flash fail to load when the tab isn't in focus; for example, if I open one up, it doesn't properly the page unless I am focused on it. Matthew We should be sending Flash enough idle events for uploaders in background tabs to work just fine. I don't know of any other reports of such a problem, but maybe others do.
this occurs for me too. but they need to be BIG like 500MB
WORKSFORME Safari 6.0.3 Is this still valid?
