Now that bug 16532 is fixed, we only show the node highlight when you're hovering a node. But it's possible to get the highlight to stick around even when you're not hovering a node. Usually this seems to involve moving the mouse off of a node quickly enough that a mouseout event is not generated.

Since last changes in behaviour (timeout for highlighting), this bug seems irrelevant now.
