I can reproduce on Windows and Gtk port. Web page is loading in background tab and I'm typing URL in actual one. First page loads and steals focus from address bar. In windows port happens nothing else, with gtk port any other typed characters appear in pre-focused input field in background tab.

For the Windows port, this is a Safari bug, represented by <rdar://problem/4956515>. Safari bugs should be reported at <http://bugreport.apple.com/>.

This Bugzilla bug will now represent the problem in the Gtk port (presumably a bug in GtkLauncher).

Of course, if GtkLauncher doesn't support multiple tabs, then this would be a bug in whatever browser David was testing. I don't know whether GtkLauncher supports multiple tabs. Alp?

This bug does not occur in the one other WebKit/GTK browser I tested (Juniper) and thus is likely to be a bug in Midori, rather than in WebKit. You might like to try a more recent Midori revision or else report the bug to the Midori author(s).

I'm not seeing this issue anymore in GtkLauncher or Ephy.
