Reproduction steps: 1.) Open http://output.jsbin.com/waxuyo/quiet 2.) Enable repaint flashing 3.) Scroll the bottom scroller with a background gradients It repaints on scroll on both LoDPI and HiDPI devices. Safari TP 10.2 Release 23 had it fixed, Release 24 repaints again.

I suspect the "fix" was actually a regression, but will verify.
