Go to this demo in Safari TP: http://codepen.io/jensimmons/full/oBOPrQ/ You'll see the photo with the balloon has lost it's aspect ratio. I think this is happening because of the most recent changes to the spec regarding the default behavior of image sizing. I merged in this fix from Blink when I cleaned up alignment, so this has actually already been fixed.
