Description Sergio Villar Senin 2017-01-27 08:04:40 PST
Steps:

1- Open www.ro.me in Minibrowser
2- Click on "Enter" button
3- Click on "Begin" button
4- After a while a movie is played

Outcome
-------

The video stops playing after some time (~10s) but the audio is still being played

After that the web view enters a weird state where nothing could be loaded anymore.

Working fine on ephy running 2.14.2

Works fine here in ephy and MiniBrowser. I suspect both WebAudio and accelerated 2D canvas are needed, were they enabled?

I'm going to close this. Please reopen if needed.

Cool demo btw, I love this whole album by Daniele Luppi & Danger Mouse.

Note: accelerated 2D canvas is still a build option for WebKitGTK+, but it's now disabled by default, even in developer builds.

I can observe this with youtube.com videos with 2.30.6. You have to be patient, sometimes it takes 10' or so until video completely freezes while the audio is still playing.

Is there a chance you could test with 2.32 please? 2.30 is not maintained anymore, afaik :)
Comment 6 Michael Catanzaro 2021-05-16 16:02:44 PDT
I see this occasionally with 2.32.1, but not often enough to get a debug log.

I think it regressed sometime during the 2.30 era or thereabouts. Certainly it hasn't been happening since 2017.

Did you test the actual website mentioned in comment 0 ?

Nope, youtube.com.

I'm not sure what is the AP here, there's a mix of unrelated comments, basically.
