Summary cannot upload media to twitter
Christian Hergert
Reported 2016-12-09 15:03:10 PST
Created attachment 296711 [details] console from media upload attempt For a couple of releases I have been unable to upload media (images) to twitter using Epiphany. The current webkitgtk version is 2.14.1-2 (as bundled by Fedora). It is unclear to me if this is a webkitgtk problem or WebKit core (or twitter). I've attached a screenshot of the inspector console when trying to post with media upload.

This XHR error is reproducible by just loading https://twitter.com, no Twitter account required. I wonder if it's occurring in Apple ports? I guess the script from https://upload.twitter.com could possibly be blocked due to a CORS problem (shame I don't see any way to check HTTP headers in the web inspector), but I'm confused what form of access control could possibly prevent https://twitter.com from loading a script from https://twitter.com (itself).

Looks like it happens for large media only. The longer it takes to upload, the larger the chance it will fail.
