For me, this animation is somewhat faster in IE 7 (under Parallels) than in r24868 nightly. Shipping Safari/WebKit is definitely too fast.

Firefox and Opera under Mac OS X renders the GIF animation definitely faster. Webkit renders it much slower. Confirmed.

Could be a duplicate of bug 19663.

Please retest this now that the fix for bug 19663 has landed.  This was one of the GIFs I used to ensure my timings were correct.
