Summary pages do not render on initial request
Mike Krisher
Reported 2007-08-10 08:45:28 PDT
Safari 3.0.x does not render all page requests on my machine (PowerBook G4). For example, I have my homepage set to Google Calendar. The URL appears in the address bar, but the page is not rendered. This happens on many many sites. Clicking a link from my bookmarks bar will sometimes render the page on initial request, however many times not. I simply have to hit Apple+R to refresh the page and then it loads. This is not limited to just Google sites. The Surfin Safari blog just did it. Again, this is only on the initial request. Clicking a search result link will change the address bar location, but will not render the page (it just stays blank). Refreshing the page, will load the page. PowerBook G4 OS X10.4.10 All of the Safari betas. Safari 2 did not have this issue.

Thanks for the bug report, Mike! Do you have any Safari extensions installed, like Saft, PithHelmet, etc.? If so, please try removing all of them to see if that fixes the issue.

I had already removed Saft thinking it was the culprit, however I removed SafariStand this weekend after David's email and all seems to be working as expected.
