It seems an invert it being applied to the SVG. This might be a WebKit bug on retina.
Note: we are animating opacity here. .toolbar .dashboard.default > .item.pulsing { -webkit-animation-name: console-item-pulse; -webkit-animation-duration: 0.75s; } @-webkit-keyframes console-item-pulse { 50% { opacity: 0.6; } }
Trying to make a reduction and it isn't reproducing in a simple case. Will need to look are what else we are doing that might trigger this. It is clearly bad rendering on WebKit's part — we don't have use this blue nor invert filters.

Disabling accelerated drawing does make it go away.
This is still relevant.
This bug is below webkit.
I reproduced it on OS X El Capitan, but I can't reproduce on macOS X Sierra.
