Steps to reproduce:

1. Open inspector, see timeline view.
2. Reload page to create recording.
3. Switch between layout, script, and network timelines.

On my overspec'd desktop, switching can take several seconds. We should try to find ways to speed this up. Maybe we are doing too much eager work?

This is nearly instant for me now! Reopen if you still encounter issues.
