Just try swiping back to the previous page with the trackpad.  It breaks Safari, making that swiping unavailable son on

I cannot reproduce anything wrong when swiping to the right with nightly r177832 and Safari 8.0.2. Swiping remains functional after the first swipe.

Which nightly did you observe this with? Does this happen on all webpages, or only some of them?

It seems that was a memory or system corruption bug.  It disappeared after reboot.
