Excuse me, I am not a developer and do not know the proper terminology for this bug. When internet network access is blocked by company router that requires an HTML login to the internet there are two frustrating screw ups. Firstly, as soon as Safari/Webkit determines it can connect to an LAN it refreshes any tabs losing any previous held webpage and replacing it with the network login webpage. AS it does so, generally it messes up the URL, e.g. replacing slashes with %2F so the pages cannot be returned to. This happens when you first open up Safari/Webkit. You open up S/W, it opens up all and any previous open tabs and Windows. This might be 10 or more pages. *Every* one of those tabs and pages then load the network login webpage losing previously open webpages. It is also true if S/W crashes and you re-open it. You lose all previous data. Secondly, in Top Sites, all the preview pages are changed to the HTML internet login page. Solution might be to make S/W waiting until it determines it has made a WAN connection, perhaps by accesses a DNS server. Or, if possible, to recognise this crappy logins and to open only one page/a window to allow a login. I am sorry, that is the best I can describe it. I have found this login pages at coffee shops, municipal networks and some FON connections. It pees me off to lose all my previews and have them spammed by the companies when I might not even be choosing to access the network. If you cannot fix it, then you need to have a warning dialogue popup asking users if they want this to happen. Thank you
