This test has changed behavior, but the new behavior is arguably better. Still, filing in order to remind myself to seek a spec clarification.

This is a blocker for turning the new columns on.

The new behavior is superior IMO. We can just change the test result when we turn new columns on. So this one is a "blocker" but it will be fixed at the time we turn new columns on.
