Bryan Garaventa sent this example to the Working Group, which uses the already-weird ARIA tooltip pattern, but with dynamically changing pointers to different tooltip elements. I'm not sure this is a common or recommended usage (I'd recommend a live region in this case) but it's possible there is something in here we can or should to to make work better.
