REGRESSION (Subpixel Layout): Underline touches small text

Summary REGRESSION (Subpixel Layout): Underline touches small text
Alexey Proskuryakov
Reported 2014-02-03 14:41:31 PST
Created attachment 223021 [details] screenshot Underlines have become too close to text when it's small, such as "Home | New | Search" links on this Bugzilla page. It looks arguably worse than before on Retina screens, but on non-Retina ones, it's undeniably bad, as underlines touch the text.

It is even worse for Japanese (and other CJK) text - some part of the underline is missing, or crosses into characters.

(In reply to comment #2) > It is even worse for Japanese (and other CJK) text - some part of the underline is missing, or crosses into characters. Character crossing is not a regression of subpixel layout (I can repro that with Safari on Mac OS X 10.9) but the missing underline indeed is.
