I encountered this problem on another website. After working for days to resolve it I determined it could be a Webkit bug. I put together a test page ( http://riverroadsoftware.com/test2.html ) with all the banner links from my original project so the issue is readily demonstrated. The links to external banner images are not processed properly and banners are not displayed. It appears the target links are working (Clicking on the empty spaces takes you to the target) This is true for both Chrome and Firefox browsers. (Webkit reported: You are currently using: 537.36) (Chrome reports: Version 31.0.1650.57 m Google Chrome is up to date.) (Firefox reports: version 25.0.1 Firefox is up to date) The bug is easily demonstrated on the above-mentioned page and on http://canlookup.com. There will be a blank space where the banners should be displayed. I tested the same pages using Chromium on Linux and the banners were displayed correctly.

I managed to find it from WayBack Archive: URL - https://web.archive.org/web/20140808013532/http://riverroadsoftware.com/test2.html It seems that Safari 16.2 does not render empty space like Chrome Canary 111 and Firefox Nightly 110, Safari do show container with URL title or ALT Text within the container to click on to navigate to website. While Chrome & Firefox collapse, where the banner is not available but the empty space is not clickable link. I am not sure, it is an issue in Safari 16.2 at least, I am going to mark this as "RESOLVED WONTFIX" but tag others for their input. Thanks!
