With r143830 and later, load the page and the menu looks correct.

Rollover Services and the entire menu's text switches to a much worse looking less anti-aliased appearance.

With r143614 and earlier, the font starts off poor and rollover makes no difference.

Somewhere between Safari 6.0.4 and r138184 lost the correct appearance of the menu, I cannot open any nightlies before r138184 without crashing.

In Safari 6.0.4 everything looks correct. Currently nightlies start off correct and get worse on rollover.

Overall, this is all about bug 23364. We are using compositing more and more for performance reasons, and this makes such font rendering issues appear on more and more pages.

CC'ing Simon, as this looks a bit unusual to me, in that we don't return to original appearance after transition. Also, perhaps there is a workaround?
