Summary html5 audio default controls, unusable
Juan Falgueras
Reported 2013-03-26 03:10:43 PDT
html5 audio default controls are unusable. See for example, http://thesaurus.com/ with Webkit and with Chrome. When you put <audio … with the default player, Webkit displays a so huge and unusable set of buttons that makes it overlap and get messed with the rest of the contents. It works great with Chrome and Firefox, for example.

Could you please attach a screenshot? I'm not seeing anything bad with a current WebKit build on this page.

This seems like an attachment for another bug.

I don't see any obvious problems in the attached image, how should it look/behave? Is there supposed to be an <audio> element in that page? I also don't see any problems at http://thesaurus.com/, but I also don't see any <audio> elements that display native controls, only one with page generated UI.

All seems related to the cancel of Flash (grrr) due to my sometimes forgotten "Click to plugin". My apologises for not being tested that before.

From Comment 07, the user seems to suggest that it was fixed and was related to 'Flash' rather than HTML5 audio elements. Further, Safari / WebKit has evolved a lot from 2013, so this issue might have already been resolved or if it still exist, it would be available in another shape or form in another bug. Marking this as 'RESOLVED CONFIGURATION CHANGED'.
